PREFILL VALVES

on hydraulic cylinders

The prefill valve consists into a fast forward movement of the rod, which means the rod will go out very quickly without working and only for a certain stroke length. This is called « forcible feeding » with oil and with no pressure. This phase allows the rod to position quickly itself with no effort on the piece to be pressed.

Then, during the working phase, the prefill valves remains closed, so that the hydraulic cylinder can work in pressure. The prefill valve then re-opens for the backward movement, so that the oil can evacuate quickly.

Typical applications (but not limited to): Press industry

2 hydraulic cylinders 570 x 560; 870mm stroke with rear prefill valve

Oil filling cylinders:

1 cylinder 195 x 130; 480mm stroke

1 cylinder 270 x 265; 480mm stroke

We can adapt this system to your typical application.
